1st revolt shekel?

i am curious if the edge of this coin is consistent with an authentic coin of this period ..any imfo will be greatly appreciated

I think you need to get some clearer picks, but I am not encouraged from my initial gander. Year one shekels aren't so easy to come by, and your example if legit would be in excellent condition. If the dealer you bought it from couldn't tell you about it, then it is not a good sign.

a few more thoughts about this coin, the edge looks hammered, like the edges from the sela'im of the second revolt. The edges of first revolt shekels tend to be rounder and more smooth.

Your coin is a sample of a fake that is documented in Hendin's " Not Kosher" book on ancient Jewish fakes, coin number 655a1.2 or 1.3
