SNG Copenhagen Volume 8

I have had difficulties in finding a copy of the SNG Copenhagen Volume 8 that was published a couple of years ago. Can anyone explain why it is so elusive? Did they only print a small quantity?

Thanks for any insight.

Dave

The otherwise excellent library of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology has the same predicament. They have the first seven volumes of the second printing of SNG Cop. but not the eighth volume or the 2002 supplement. The initial printing incidentally was in 43 volumes, with the second printing combining these 43 volumes into eight. I believe you can borrow through the mail the eighth volume from the ANA library, if you're an ANA member, though you'd need to check to be sure.

Thanks for the info Reid. It appears that I am fortunate to have been offered a copy. I am hopeful things will work out to obtain the copy.

Best regards,

David

SNG Cop. v8

put out some feelers to the numismatic book dealers (see VCoins) and one will turn up eventually to buy. it may take a while. i believe this is the volume on Ptolemaic and Roman Egypt coins and it's a popular item. If you need a lookup email me privately. I was happy to find it a couple years ago through Abacus Books and refer to it quite frequently.
